EGAT welcomed investors and entrepreneurs in the EV charging station business to discuss technology trends and business opportunities at the event “EGAT EV: Charge Up Your Business” and show off BackEN EV, a complete EV management system that supports various chargers, meeting the demands of EV users.
On March 21, 2025, Mr. Sayan Pansang, Assistant Governor – Business Management of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) presided over the opening of “EGAT EV: Charge Up Your Business,” a seminar presenting ideas and technologies relating to the EV charging station business, as well as collaboration opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in entering the EV business. During the event, there were the selling of EV chargers, installation services, after-sales support, and maintenance. The event also supported entrepreneurs who wish to install EV chargers to accommodate the EV transition and to create additional income from their existing businesses. Over 300 entrepreneurs attended the event at EGAT 50th Anniversary Building, EGAT Headquarters, Nonthaburi Province.
Mr. Sayan Pansang, EGAT Assistant Governor – Business Management, revealed that during the past four years, EGAT has promoted the use of EVs continuously through the EleX by EGAT charging station, EleXA application, and BackEN EV management system, to strengthen the country’s EV ecosystem. EGAT has offered information, ideas, technologies, and a way for collaboration between the public and private sectors and the people, while supporting businesses looking for opportunities to invest in the EV industry for sustainable growth.
Mrs. Nissara Thammapala, EGAT Director – Innovative Energy Solutions Business Management Division, added that EGAT is determined to share knowledge, information, and experience, as well as expand on the developed technologies and innovations to provide the service of EGAT EV Business Solutions, especially BackEN EV, a complete EV management system which can be used via the EleXA application. The system allows station owners to control and monitor the station in real-time, supports various charger brands and multiple charges simultaneously, has a display system and smart data analysis system, and reports usage data and accounting so that business owners can adjust their strategy quickly, efficiently, and accurately, creating revenue and growth sustainably. Moreover, EGAT is preparing to launch the EGAT Academy Project to enhance the skills of personnel in the EV charging station business by joining with Thailand Professional Qualification Institute to issue professional standard certificates in the field of automotive service profession, electric vehicle branch, for EV charging station technicians in order to raise the standard of safety and reliability for the EV ecosystem.
