Culligan International, the global leader in water treatment solutions, has partnered with the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris as the event’s Official Water Solutions Supplier. The partnership supports Culligan’s goal to deliver filtered, great-tasting water while accelerating the transition to more sustainable hydration, building on the event’s long-standing environmental commitments and eco-responsible approach developed with the city of Paris.
An iconic event that brings together tens of thousands of runners and spectators, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris has long been committed to reducing its environmental impact, particularly in hydration. As part of this effort, the organizers, in collaboration with the city of Paris, rely on potable water from the city’s public water system. Culligan’s partnership further strengthens these efforts by providing technical expertise in water filtration and distribution, serving runners and spectators while helping reduce waste.
Beginning in 2026, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris will implement its responsible hydration model, based on reusable containers and the potable water from Paris water system, connected and distributed throughout the entire course. This represents a first for an event of this scale in the French capital.
Runners will be required to bring their own hydration solution (e.g., soft flask, collapsible cup, hydration pack), in line with the event’s zero-waste hydration requirement. No single-use cups or single-use bottles will be distributed at on-course aid stations.
As the Official Water Solutions Supplier, Culligan will support this model by providing its filtration expertise and water solutions, enhancing hydration and the overall runner experience.
“Culligan International was founded 90 years ago to improve water quality through our expertise, premium service, and sustainable solutions, in France and around the world. Our partnership with the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris strengthens our commitment to transforming water to improve everyday life and protect the planet for everyone,” said Christopher Landry, President, Culligan France. “At the finish line, runners will be able to rehydrate with Culligan while supporting a reuse-based and sustainable hydration model.”
As part of this partnership, Culligan will introduce several key initiatives:
A current partner to major international marathons, including both
Chicago
and
New York
, Culligan International supports endurance race organizers in implementing sustainable hydration operations. In 2025 alone, these partnerships helped avoid the use of more than 430,000 single-use plastic bottles. The partnership with the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris adds to this momentum, as aligned with the environmental commitments of both the event and the city of Paris
Culligan and the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris will work together to explore, test, and optimize new water filtration and distribution solutions, with the goal to make Paris an international benchmark for sustainable sporting events.
