New Colorado Contractor Hub Aims to Grow Heat Pump Businesses

— Colorado heat pump contractors now have access to a new digital platform designed to support business growth, training, and customer acquisition. Power Ahead Colorado, led by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, and the Building Decarbonization Coalition, have launched the Colorado Contractor Hub, a free, centralized workspace for contractors working in the Power Ahead Colorado region.

According to the program partners, the Colorado Contractor Hub is the first digital workspace created specifically for Colorado heat pump contractors. The platform is designed to help contractors overcome operational hurdles, generate new customer leads, and accelerate adoption of heat pump technologies across residential and commercial buildings.

The Colorado Contractor Hub provides customer leads from Power Ahead Colorado, training on heat pump installation, customer engagement, and business development, and an application process for reimbursement of training costs. Contractors also gain access to tools for navigating heat pump incentive programs, aggregating rebates, and meeting government permitting requirements.

Additional resources include a digital library with manufacturer training videos, program manuals, and technical documentation, along with a curated marketplace of third-party tools that support permitting, system design and sizing, and rebate management. An artificial intelligence assistant is also available to provide real-time guidance on incentives, building codes, licensing, permitting, and program-related questions.

The platform includes a free Small Business Scaling Program, a multi-day training focused on energy-efficient building electrification, with an emphasis on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and water heating systems. Contractors can also create detailed business profiles that allow homeowners and businesses to find qualified installers, request consultations, and connect directly with service providers.

The Colorado Contractor Hub is open to contractors offering building electrification services, including HVAC, plumbing, weatherization, and general construction. Contractors can enroll by visiting
