Chisinau International Airport took over the management of commercial spaces, previously operated by "Aerofood," starting March 1, 2025. Interim director Sergiu Spoiala stated the transition may take weeks but assured that services will remain available. The airport plans to expand and modernize the terminal, improving security and passenger facilities.
APP director Roman Cojuhari supports the move, emphasizing increased revenue potential. Meanwhile, "Aerofood" accuses the airport administration of obstructing the evacuation of its goods despite prior agreements. The dispute follows the airportâs return to state management after Avia Invest SRL lost its concession due to unmet investment commitments.
