Getac to Demonstrate AI-Enabled Field Technology at DTECH 2026

Getac Technology Corporation will exhibit at DTECH 2026, highlighting artificial intelligence–enabled field technology designed for electric, gas and water utility operations. The event takes place Feb. 3–5 in San Diego, where Getac will be located at booth UL511 in the Sails Pavilion.

Utilities are increasingly reliant on mobile computing platforms to support field crews working in harsh environments, remote locations and time-sensitive restoration scenarios. Getac will showcase a range of fully rugged laptops and tablets, along with integrated software and partner technologies, that are being positioned to support asset monitoring, workforce coordination and predictive analysis in the field.

According to the company, the devices are designed to withstand extreme conditions while reducing downtime and extending equipment lifecycles—factors that can directly impact utility operating costs and crew productivity. AI-enabled software applications demonstrated at the booth will focus on converting field data into actionable insights while maintaining connectivity and cybersecurity across dispersed service territories.

“Utility field operations face unique challenges that go far beyond rugged hardware,” said Rick Geisendorff, vice president of Sales & Marketing,

Getac North America.

“Our participation at DTECH 2026 demonstrates Getac's commitment to providing complete solutions that improve efficiency, lower total cost of ownership, and support field teams with the tools they need to succeed.”

Partner Demonstrations Focus on End-to-End Field Operations

Four industry partners will join Getac at booth UL511 to demonstrate integrated solutions for utility field operations:

Semtech will demonstrate how its AirLink rugged networking technology integrates with Getac devices to provide unified cellular connectivity for utility fleets operating in remote or hard-to-reach locations.

RAM Mounts will showcase mounting systems designed to securely deploy phones, tablets and laptops in utility vehicles, supporting safe and efficient access to mission-critical devices.

Absolute Software will present persistent security and compliance solutions aimed at utilities operating electric grids, gas pipelines and nuclear facilities, with a focus on maintaining visibility into standards such as NERC CIP.

SEW.AI will feature its AI-native workforce experience platform, designed to transform operational data into role-based intelligence to support field safety, asset management and workforce coordination.

In addition to the main booth, Getac rugged devices will also appear in integrated demonstrations at partner exhibits throughout the show, including Anterix, Havis, and Gamber-Johnson.
