Glass and glass product manufacturing prices rose in December (0.2%) for the second consecutive month, concluding a year in which glass product prices and the manufacturing of glass-related products were up 3.2% compared to the end of 2024. This is according to the United States Labor Department’s Producer Price Index (PPI), which measures inflation before it reaches customers.

December’s PPI shows that flat glass and architectural metal product prices remained relatively stable in December. However, year-to-year prices indicate that costs jumped substantially in 2025 compared to 2024 for several glass industry-related products, specifically in the metals sector.
