Aeris Resources Limited has secured a regulatory milestone for its Constellation project, with the New South Wales Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure granting development consent, a key step in unlocking new ore feed to its flagship Tritton copper operations.
Located in the Cobar Basin region of NSW, about 45 kilometres north-east of the Tritton processing plant, Constellation adds significant scale to Aeris’ supply pipeline. The open pit ore reserve includes a probable reserve of 2.3 Mt at 2.0 per cent copper, 0.6 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver, containing 47 kt of copper, 49 koz of gold and 228 koz of silver, while the total mineral resource stands at 7.6 Mt at similar grades.
The approval comes as Aeris rides the momentum of a strong copper market and exploration success at Tritton. High-grade copper discoveries across the operation have driven renewed optimism in the region, with thick mineralisation and expanded targets delivering material upside to the company’s growth pipeline.
Aeris executive chairman Andre Labuschagne said development consent was a significant milestone for Constellation and positioned the project to become a major ore source for Tritton in the near term.
“Coupled with our recently declared open pit ore reserve, this places us in a strong position for Constellation to become the next major ore source for Tritton in the near term,” Labuschagne said.
With regulatory support now secured, Aeris is advancing Constellation toward development, reinforcing its position in the NSW copper sector and building on a strong finish to 2025.
