Mercury Towers, standing at 31 stories and 122 meters in St Julian's has been completed and is now open. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects this project was among the last approved by Zaha Hadid before her passing in 2016.
The building topped out in 2020, during COVID and has been known in the region for its signature twist between the 10th and 12th floors—a 12-degree rotation designed to improve the building’s connection with the streetscape and enhance upper-level views.
Commissioned by J Portelli Projects, Mercury Tower's initial construction phase concluded in November 2023, with a full opening in 2024. The complex also includes the renovated Mercury House, originally built in 1903 for telecommunications infrastructure, which now forms part of the building’s base.
The development offers luxury apartments, a hotel with an outdoor pool, retail spaces, and a piazza. A penthouse at the tower’s peak was listed for 22 Million EUR earlier this year.
