McWane has announced Will McWane has been named president, representing the fifth generation of family leadership. Phillip McWane will continue to serve in his role as chairman.

Will McWane joined the company in 2014 and has served as executive vice president since 2019 with accumulating oversight responsibilities, including McWane Plumbing Group, McWane Real Estate/Highline Real Estate, McWane International, and McWane’s corporate functions. Prior to this role, he served as president of Alabama Dynamics, a heavy equipment fabricator.

McWane holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Science in finance from Georgetown University.

A steward of the community and proponent of helping to ensure opportunities for future generations, McWane serves on the Board of Junior Achievement of Alabama, furthering its mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. He and his wife Kaitlin, along with the McWane Foundation, are lead supporters of the McWane Economic Education Center currently under construction in Birmingham, which aims to provide experiential learning in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to more than 20,000 students each year.
