Colas Has Secured A 380 Million Euros Contract To Operate And Maintain The On-Track Machines In Britain

The contract, worth around 380 million Euros , covers several regions of the rail network: Wales & Western, Southern, Eastern, NorthWest and Central.

As part of this contract, Colas Rail UK will operate and maintain 28 machines, including Tampers and Ballast Regulators, for a period of eight years.

"Colas Rail UK has the largest fleet of OTMs in the country, which enables us to achieve high performance standards, with an efficiency ratio of over 99%. This excellence is based on the commitment and expertise of our teams, who are mobilized every day to guarantee reliable and efficient operations for our customers" explains Jean-Pierre Bertrand, Deputy Managing Director UK of Colas Rail.

This latest success further strengthens the relationship of trust between Network Rail and Colas Rail. This follows the recent signing of a contract worth around 170 million Euros over five years, for the operation and maintenance of Network Rail's fleet of grinding and milling trains.
