In West Yorkshire, capacity at Leeds station will be increased, while in Greater Manchester work is planned on the Manchester Victoria and Piccadilly stations and a third track at Salford Crescent. The power supply on the West Coast Main Line (WCML) and East Coast Main Line (ECML) will be improved to allow more electric multiple units (EMU). An additional €31.3 million will be allocated to the reopening of the Bristol – Portishead line. New stations are planned on the Bristol – Exeter main line and in North Yorkshire.
