The Rochester Bridge Trust has appointed a bridge inspection consultant on a six-year contract.

Up and Under Limited, which is part of the RSK Group, will carry out inspections of Rochester Bridge in southeast England.

The bridge comprises of three structures: the Old Bridge, which dates from 1914 with elements from an 1856 crossing; and the New Bridge and Service Bridge, which both date from 1970.

Up and Under is accredited by the Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme and will carry out both general and principal inspections. Its work will be supported by data that the trust gathers day to day.
