JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) and Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of Kuwait, have announced that Kuwait has chosen the new T6 for its future operations at JFK. Kuwait becomes the 12th carrier to operate from T6 when the first gates open in 2026, joining a growing list of award-winning, international carriers who will make T6 their future home at JFK, including: Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Condor, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways and SWISS.
Terminal 6 is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport into a world-class gateway, with two new terminals, two expanded and modernized terminals, a new ground transportation center, and an entirely new, simplified roadway network.
Kuwait has served the New York market – its primary gateway in North America – for more than 40 years. It currently operates regular service from JFK Terminal 7 to Kuwait using its state-of-the-art, Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A330-800 widebody aircraft.
Kuwait passengers will soon be among the first to experience T6’s digital-first, boutique guest experience, with a less than 5-minute average walk from the TSA security checkpoint exit to all gates,100,000 square feet of NYC-inspired shopping, dining, lounges and amenities, curated public art, sustainable operating features, and a premium guest experience throughout the terminal.
“We are thrilled that Kuwait Airways has selected T6 for its future New York operations. This decision marks an exciting new chapter in our partnership with Kuwait, which has been a valued T7 airline since 2022,” said Steve Thody, CEO, JFK Millennium Partners. “We look forward to welcoming Kuwait’s passengers to our new world-class T6 facilities and continuing to provide them with exceptional service,” Thody added.
