Andersen is a strong advocate for environmental stewardship within the engineering and construction communities. He has twice served on the board of directors for
Concrete BC
and remains active with
Concrete Alberta
and other technical committees across the region. He works closely with design teams seeking to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete while maintaining performance, durability, and lifecycle requirements.
