Cleantech Solar has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar). Under the agreement, Sona Comstar will procure power on a group captive basis from Cleantech Solar’s open access solar park in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

In May 2025, Cleantech Solar commissioned about 80 MWp of open access solar projects at its 275 MWp renewable energy park in Tamil Nadu. The power generated from these projects is being supplied on a captive basis to industrial clients to support their manufacturing energy requirements. 

Cleantech Solar, headquartered in Singapore, is a pan-Asian commercial and industrial developer. The company has a portfolio of approximately 1.2 GWp of solar and wind hybrid projects across operational, under-construction and development stages. The portfolio spans India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
