Nofar USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nofar Energy, has secured more than 1,000 MW of solar development projects across several US markets through acquisitions and exclusive development agreements. The transactions will expand the company’s portfolio to include both utility-scale and distributed generation projects.
Commercial operations for these projects are scheduled between 2026 and 2029. The solar portfolio covers projects at different stages of development, ranging from early-stage to ready-to-build status. These projects are spread across multiple regional transmission organisations and independent system operators.
In March 2025, Nofar USA and Qcells USA signed an agreement to develop and construct two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Texas with a combined capacity of 350 MW and a two-hour duration (700 MWh). The projects, namely Bracero Pecan (230 MW/460 MWh) in Reeves County and Fairway (120 MW/240 MWh) in Freestone County, are in the final stages of interconnection approvals and are scheduled to come online in 2027.
