Introduction:

National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) has taken a significant step forward in the execution of India’s first high-speed rail corridor by issuing a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a major consultancy contract. The contract has been awarded to SYSTRA in Joint Venture with DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, marking a key milestone in the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.

The awarded contract focuses on Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services for some of the most critical technological components of the high-speed rail system. These include the Signalling and Telecommunication System, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System, and the Ticketing System. Together, these systems form the backbone of modern high-speed rail operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, real-time monitoring, and seamless passenger experience.

This translates to Euro Two Crores Twenty Eight Lakhs Seventy Seven Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Six and Forty Cents plus Indian Rupees Three Hundred Seventy Seven Crores Seventy Three Lakhs Six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Five and Sixty Paise Only.

The dual-currency structure reflects the international nature of the joint venture and the advanced technological inputs involved in the project.
