Europe’s largest indoor arena, the Paris La Défense Arena in France, has been renamed the Plenitude Arena after major energy company Plenitude secured the venue’s naming rights.

Paris La Défense Arena said the agreement, which has a minimum term of seven years, brings together two organisations that share a commitment to excellence, innovation and enhancing the audience experience. The partnership is designed to strengthen the venue’s position as a global benchmark for live entertainment.

Located in Nanterre, on the western outskirts of Paris, the 30,680-seat multipurpose arena is one of Europe’s leading venues for sport, concerts and major live events.

Plenitude, a company controlled by Italian energy group Eni, combines renewable energy generation, energy supply, energy services and one of Europe’s largest electric vehicle charging networks. The company currently supplies more than 11 million households and businesses across Europe and aims to increase that figure to 15 million by 2030. In France, Plenitude operates through Plenitude France, the country’s fourth-largest residential energy supplier, while also managing around 1 GW of installed renewable energy capacity.

Paris La Défense Arena added that Plenitude, which operates in more than 15 countries, has established itself as a leader in the energy transition through its integrated business model spanning renewable energy production, electricity and gas supply, energy efficiency solutions and electric mobility.

The naming rights agreement represents a new phase in the arena’s development. Beyond the rebranding, the partnership will draw on Plenitude’s energy expertise to help optimise the venue’s energy consumption and accelerate its transition towards a more efficient and sustainable operating model.

Together, the two organisations plan to develop practical solutions that combine world-class events with technological innovation and greater energy efficiency, with the shared goal of delivering more sustainable live experiences.

The partnership will see a phased introduction of new sustainability initiatives across the arena, including installation of an electric vehicle charging hub through Plenitude On The Road, deployment of advanced energy optimisation systems and development of solutions to reduce overall energy consumption.
