WaterOsmoflo continues to grow its Australian capabilities, entering into an agreement to acquire leading water and wastewater infrastructure business Guidera O’Connor.
As part of Kanadevia Group, Osmoflo brings expertise in membrane water treatment, desalination, operations and asset performance while Guidera O’Connor will add its municipal water and wastewater experience across design and construction capability, project delivery experience, and strong customer relationships.
The acquisition comes as the Australian water sector faces ageing assets, changing regulation, budget constraints, population growth and climate change. Osmoflo and Guidera O’Connor believe together they can help customers better respond to these challenges, while delivering reliable, resilient, and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure.
Osmoflo chief executive officer and managing director Carmine Ciccocioppo said the acquisition strengthens Osmoflo’s ability to support customers throughout the asset lifecycle.
“As customers face increasingly complex water and wastewater infrastructure challenges, the addition of Guidera O’Connor strengthens Osmoflo’s ability to provide greater capability, turn-key solutions, and confidence from project delivery through to long-term asset performance,” he said.
Guidera O’Connor founder and director Tony Guidera said the acquisition sets Guidera O’Connor up for success.
“I am excited by the opportunities this acquisition brings for Guidera O’Connor and our team,” he said. “Kanadevia’s financial backing, combined with Osmoflo’s specialised technical expertise and operations experience, will allow us to target a wider range of complex projects across a more diversified customer base.
“For our people, this provides long-term stability and the opportunity to tackle larger, highly rewarding infrastructure challenges into the future.”
