TORONTO — Armstrong Fluid Technology appointed Danilo Elez as CEO, positioning the company for its next phase of growth and innovation in HVAC and building systems.

According to Armstrong Fluid Technology, Elez will lead the company at a time when system-level fluid flow expertise is becoming increasingly critical to building performance. The company’s approach integrates system design and analytics to improve efficiency across the full lifecycle of a building.

Elez joins the organization with leadership experience in the HVAC and building technologies sectors, having held senior roles at Trane, KONE, and Johnson Controls. His background includes managing global organizations, improving operational performance, and advancing the integration of engineered products with digital capabilities and service-based solutions.

The appointment aligns with Armstrong’s focus on optimizing energy use and supporting sustainability and decarbonization efforts in building infrastructure. The company’s technologies are used in mission-critical applications worldwide, with an emphasis on improving efficiency and long-term system performance.

Armstrong, founded in 1934, remains privately held, allowing it to maintain a long-term strategy centered on innovation, learning, and customer value. The company stated that Elez’s leadership approach supports its ongoing efforts to deliver integrated, system-level HVAC solutions.

Elez holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and undergraduate degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is also a Fulbright Scholar with international experience.
