Denver International Airport (DEN) is bringing live music back to its terminals with the return of its free summer concert series, Concerts on the Fly, transforming the airport plaza into an open air entertainment venue.
Now entering its third season, the popular programme will run for six weeks, with performances taking place every Sunday from early August through early September. The concerts will be hosted on DEN’s 82,000 square foot outdoor plaza, located between the south end of the Jeppesen Terminal and The Westin Denver International Airport Hotel and Transit Center.
The event series is designed to create a unique airport experience for travellers, employees and the local community, combining live music, food and outdoor entertainment in a pre security public space.

Denver International Airport Chief Executive Phil Washington said the concerts provide an opportunity to celebrate the city’s vibrant culture while showcasing the airport as more than just a travel hub.
Concerts on the Fly is back, and we could not be more excited to offer a fun, uniquely Denver experience for our community, Washington said.
Produced in partnership with Live@Jack’s, the concerts will run from 2.30 pm to 6 pm each Sunday, with doors opening at 2 pm. Each event will feature an opening act followed by a headline performance.
The line up includes a mix of jazz, soul and R&B artists such as Ben Tankard, Karyn White, Dotsero, Jackiem Joyner, Brian Simpson, Anthony David, Mindi Abair, Eric Roberson and Kirk Whalum, alongside local favourites including Wash Park Band and Hot Lunch Band.
Concerts will be held rain or shine and are open to the public, although advance registration is required due to limited capacity. Complimentary tickets will be released online each Monday ahead of the upcoming performance.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue, and guests are encouraged to arrive via public transport, with the RTD A Line rail service connecting directly to the airport plaza.
For Denver International Airport, the series highlights the growing role of airports as community spaces that bring together passengers, employees and local residents.
