machineryNew surface drill rig delivers improved efficiency, operator comfort and fuel optimization for quarrying
EPIROC have introduced the next-generation PowerROC T25 MKII surface drill rig, featuring a series of upgrades to improve efficiency, operator comfort, and productivity in quarrying and construction applications.
At the heart of the new model is the latest PowerROC control system, which automatically adjusts engine speed to match real-time drilling demands, optimizing fuel efficiency while simplifying operation. All key data is displayed on a 12in screen, aligning the user experience with other models in the range, including the PowerROC T35 MKII and T45 MKII.
The upgraded cabin represents a major advance in operator experience, providing better visibility, improved ergonomics, and reduced noise and vibration to support safer, more productive working conditions.
Power is delivered by a new Volvo diesel engine rated at 129kW (173hp), available in Tier 3 and Tier 4 Final/Stage V configurations. The rig is offered in both long-feed and short-feed versions to accommodate different drilling depths in single-pass operations.
Designed for construction, civil engineering, and quarrying projects, the PowerROC T25 MKII offers a versatile, efficient drilling solution for a wide range of site needs.
‘The new PowerROC T25 delivers enhanced performance along with superior efficiency,’ said Sivakumar Devarajan, senior manager – marketing at Epiroc’s surface division. ‘We are very excited to add this upgraded drill rig to the PowerROC family.’
