The annual
Missouri Mine Safety & Health Conference
(MMSHC) was held Jan. 14-16 at Margaritaville of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Topics included leadership, training and responsibilities for mine supervisors, and mental and physical health. Attendees heard stories from accident survivors and discussed the latest in
Mine Safety & Health Administration
enforcement, as well as the agency’s future.
This year’s conference drew a record 530 attendees and 75 exhibitors. The conference credits its growth to the support it receives from the Missouri mining community and its producer companies.
Next year’s MMSCH is scheduled for Jan. 20-22.
