SBM versatile mobile solutions set for Las Vegas showpiece

IN a Conexpo first for SBM Mineral Processing, the Austrian manufacturer will be presenting their mobile rock crushers and mobile concrete mixing plants at the 2026 edition of the major Las Vegas construction plant and machinery exhibition.

Backed by decades of engineering experience, SBM are a full-line supplier for North America’s building materials production industry.

Like all nine JAWMAX jaw crushers and REMAX impact crushers with operating weights starting at 23 tons and production capacities from 250 tonnes/h, the REMAX 600 features a hybrid electrified drive concept. The benefits of what SBM say is ‘likely one of the most advanced diesel-electric plug-in solutions on the market’ are especially evident in the large crusher segment. With its onboard Cummins X15 diesel engine paired with a 520 kVA generator and predominantly electric auxiliary drives, the REMAX 600 consumes, claims SBM, up to 40% less diesel than comparable fully hydraulic or partially electrified systems – even under full load. Savings increase further when using the optional mains connection while maintaining full machine functionality.

SBM’s hybrid concept also delivers advantages in uptime and environmental performance: fewer hydraulic systems mean reduced maintenance and fewer potential leak points. In addition, the onboard diesel engine consistently operates in a low-wear, low-speed load range – resulting in claimed lower noise levels and reduced exhaust emissions.

The REMAX 600 offers an extensive range of standard equipment and optional add-ons. As standard, the impact crusher (inlet: 55 x 40in/1,380mm x 1,000 mm) is preceded by a double-deck circular vibrating screen; attachable production screens are available with up to three decks. For particularly high-quality recycled end-products, the plant can be equipped with two discharge magnets: a cross-belt magnet directly above the main discharge conveyor; and a highly efficient longitudinal discharge magnet above the multi-deck add-on screens. These screens can also be equipped with up to three air classifiers.

All equipment remains on the machine during one-piece transportation. Thanks to quick-connect cabling, the add-on screens can be removed quickly, allowing flexible use of the unit as a primary crusher. The intelligent SBM CRUSH CONTROL system supports fast commissioning and enables safe, efficient operation even for less experienced operators, thanks to comprehensive sensor technology and automatic adjustment of all plant functions.

Mobile concrete production without compromise has been the promise of SBM EUROMIX mobile wet-batch mixing plants for more than 25 years. Without foundations, the plants can be installed and are said to be ready for operation in less than two days. High-precision dosing equipment and BHS twin-shaft mixers ensure consistent production of standard mixes, advanced speciality concretes, or customer-specific recipes.

This versatility is said by SBM to make the EUROMIX plants ideal not only for temporary use in road construction, civil engineering, and tunnelling projects. SBM say that increasingly, ready-mix producers and precast manufacturers are also choosing their technology as a highly flexible alternative to stationary plants – especially where space is limited, or relocation capability is required.

Efficient insulation of the central EUROMIX mixer module, with integrated three-sided concrete discharge, enables year-round operation even under harsh conditions. In addition to the mixer and dosing technology, the module integrates plant electrics, a high-pressure water system for automated cleaning and air compressors. Service access to all components from both sides ensures fast and safe maintenance.

Aggregates, binders, and additives are stored in portable silos, hoppers, and storage modules that can be configured to match project requirements. Fully automated control and monitoring of the production process enables low-staffing, 24/7 operation of the complete plant.

Today, the EUROMIX series includes models with production capacities from 100 to well over 200yd³/h (80–175m³/h). This enables daily outputs of up to 2,600yd³ (2,000m³) of hardened concrete in a single shift – and significantly more when operating two plants in parallel.

SBM’s two largest models, introduced to the North American market just over two years ago, fall within this performance range. Alongside the EUROMIX 3300 SPACE (4.35 yd³/batch; 190yd³/h/3.3 m³; 145 m³/h), the flagship EUROMIX 4000 features a 5.2yd³ (4.0m³) BHS twin-shaft mixer and a production capacity of 230yd³/h (175m³/h). The EUROMIX 4000 will be on display in Las Vegas.
