Germany's Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur)Â has awarded 376 bids with a total of 3.4Â GW of capacity in its latest onshore wind tender (WIN25-3/461). The auction, held on 1 August 2025, was oversubscribed, with 604 bids submitted representing a total capacity of 5.7 GW, compared to a tendered volume of 3.4 GW. Â This marks the second-highest level of participation in an onshore wind auction to date, as developers sought to secure contracts ahead of potential government plans to revise renewable energy subsidies.
Awarded bid prices ranged from €6.39c/kWh to €6.64c/kWh, with a volume-weighted average of €6.57c/kWh. This represents a decrease from €6.83c/kWh in the previous round and remains well below the maximum permitted bid value of €7.35c/kWh.
The next onshore wind tender is scheduled for 1 November 2025.
