Power PlantMadhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) has awarded 293 MW under its 800 MW wind power tender, with the remaining capacity yet to be allocated. Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, secured a 193 MW wind project at a tariff of Rs 4.17 per kWh. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) was awarded a 100 MW wind project at a tariff of Rs 4.12 per kWh.
The 800 MW tender was issued by MPPMCL in June 2025 for the purchase of wind power from projects located anywhere in India through a competitive bidding process. The tender also included a greenshoe option for an additional capacity of up to 800 MW.
Earlier, in September 2025, MPPMCL, on behalf of Madhya Pradesh discoms and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, issued a tender to procure 500 MW of energy storage capacity from pumped storage projects.
