powerplantAt Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition Australia 2026 in Sydney, SOFAR Solar presented its latest residential and commercial energy storage solutions, highlighting installer-friendly design, backup reliability, and flexible applications tailored for the Australian market.
During the exhibition, SOFAR Solar officially introduced three key product series, including the CBS5000 Smart Solar Battery platform, the Residential Photovolatic (PV) Energy Storage System Solution (ESS) featuring the ESI-8-12K-S1 single-phase inverter, and the Three-Phase Energy Storage Solution built around the HYD-14.9-30K-T1 hybrid inverter.
Among the highlights was the Residential PV ESS Solution, combining the ESI-8-12K-S1 inverter with the CBS5000-H4-H10 smart battery. Designed for modern Australian homes, the system features a cable-free ‘stack and go’ installation structure and compact system height, helping simplify installation in garages and tighter residential spaces. The solution also supports less than four milliseconds seamless switchover between on-grid and off-grid operation, providing backup power support during outages.
SOFAR Solar also showcased the CBS5000-H4-H12 Smart Solar Battery platform, designed for both residential and commercial applications with flexible capacities ranging from 20 kilowatt-hours (kWh) to 240 kWh. The modular battery system integrates active module balancing, built-in optimisation, IP66 outdoor protection, and multi-level battery safety design to improve long-term reliability and installation efficiency.
For commercial and industrial applications, the company introduced its Three-Phase Energy Storage Solution featuring the HYD-14.9-30K-T1 hybrid inverter and CBS5000 battery platform. The solution supports large PV arrays, surge loads, and parallel system expansion up to 240 kWh, while low-carbon development and app-based commissioning functions help streamline installation and deployment for engineering, procurement and construction contractors and installers.
Throughout the exhibition, installers and industry visitors showed strong interest in practical product features including compact installation, backup capability, outdoor durability, and commissioning simplicity – areas becoming increasingly important as Australia’s energy storage market continues to grow.
During the event, SOFAR Solar also received recognition from Australian market research firm SunWiz for being among the Top 5 Fastest Growing brands in both the ESS and inverter categories in 2025, reflecting growing installer adoption across the local market. The company was also recently listed as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 energy storage manufacturer for Q2 2026.
As Australia’s energy transition accelerates, SOFAR Solar continues to strengthen its localised product strategy and long-term commitment to the Australian market.
