steelAhmed Ezz, as Chairman of the Arab Iron and Steel Union, paid a visit to EMSTEEL’s facilities in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting with CEO Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation among Arab steel producers and coordinated action against current trade challenges.
The meeting highlighted that the Arab iron and steel sector has gained significant growth momentum in recent years, particularly in countries such as Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Morocco. It was noted that increasing production capacity and ongoing large-scale infrastructure projects are supporting steel demand, while the need for coordinated trade policies against unfair competition and dumping practices was emphasized.
EMSTEEL CEO Saeed Al Remeithi stated that the company continues to meet strong domestic demand while expanding its export network to more than 70 countries worldwide. He also noted that the company is implementing ambitious decarbonization initiatives and has achieved emission levels approximately 45% below the global average.
The visit was reported to be part of Ahmed Ezz’s regional tour of Gulf steel producers. The program previously included visits to Hadeed’s facilities in Jubail and Qatar Steel’s operations in Doha, with Foulath Holding scheduled as the next stop.
