Scottish Water Awards £7.1 Million Contract For Supply And Delivery Of Powder Activated Carbon

The contract, which first went out to tender in July 2025 and has a duration of 96 months, was concluded on 24 February 2026.

Scottish Water was looking to put a framework agreement in place with a single supplier.

Blantyre-based firm Charles Tennant and Company Ltd have been awarded the contract, one of five firms who tendered for the work. The independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK has a network of strategically located depots offering a nationwide delivery service. The firm is a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd which is a privately owned conglomerate group, headquartered in London and with an annual turnover in excess of £500 million.
