Meta and Zelestra have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 180 MWdc Palmera Solar Plant in Texas. The project joins the 176 MWdc Skull Creek Solar Plant in Texas and the 200 MWdc Reclamation Solar Project in Indiana, both backed by Meta PPAs. Together, the projects are expected to create around 400 jobs during peak construction.

The project will further complement the 81 MWdc Jasper County Solar Project in Indiana, which recently entered commercial operation. The agreement supports Meta’s commitment to matching its operations with 100 percent clean energy. With the addition of Palmera, Meta and Zelestra now have PPAs covering approximately 1.4 GWdc of solar capacity across eight US projects. All the projects are expected to be operational by 2028.

In May 2026, Zelestra completed the sale of its Latin America platform to Promigas in a transaction valued at approximately $1.1 billion, including project finance debt. The transaction covers Zelestra’s operations in Chile, Peru, and Colombia. The acquired portfolio comprises around 3,500 MW of operational, under construction, or in development renewable energy projects.
