OmniTRAX

has debuted an autonomous track inspection system on its new affiliate, the Central Texas and Colorado River Railway (CTXR).

The Argus Track Measurement Technology, produced by Holland L.P., continuously measures track conditions to monitor track safety and identify any abnormalities, OmniTRAX officials said in a press release. Track inspection technologies play an important role in preventing derailments and enabling data-driven maintenance planning.

“Argus allows us to monitor track conditions in real time with each train movement, enhancing our industry-leading service reliability and rail delivery,” said OmniTRAX President and COO Sergio Sabatini.
