Chief Minister Reviews Pmgsy Progress, Orders Timely Road Completion

He reviewed the status of PMGSY works under various phases and took stock of advances in providing all-weather road connectivity to rural habitations across the region. Officials briefed him on ongoing projects, newly sanctioned works and the roadmap for completion of pending road and bridge projects. The Chief Minister directed concerned departments to ensure timely execution while maintaining high standards of quality and called for close inter-departmental coordination to resolve issues relating to statutory clearances and procedural requirements.

He also reviewed the implementation strategy for the PMGSY phase four (PMGSY-IV) and urged authorities to expedite preparatory processes so that sanctioned works are taken up in a time-bound manner. The emphasis was placed on extending reliable road connectivity to eligible rural habitations, particularly those in remote and border areas, to improve access to services and livelihoods. Officers presented an overview of progress under different phases and outlined an action plan for completion of remaining works.

The Chief Minister directed that all pending issues requiring inter-departmental coordination be addressed with priority to facilitate seamless execution of the programme. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Additional Chief Secretary Mining Ashwini Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dheeraj Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Public Works Anil Kumar Singh, Commissioner Secretary Forest, Ecology and Environment Sheetal Nanda and senior officers of the Public Works Department and other concerned departments. He emphasised regular monitoring of works at all levels to ensure adherence to established timelines and to prevent delays.
