Hadapsar MLA Chetan Tupe had urged the corporation to construct two roads, one from the Keshavnagar bridge to Mundhwa and another near the Hadapsar railway station, to address worsening traffic conditions. He noted that both proposed roads are included in the city development plan and said they would create alternative links for people travelling from Mundhwa–Keshavnagar and Magarpatta towards Sade Satranali, Amanora township, Malwadi and onward to Manjari, Hadapsar, the railway station, Ghorpadi and Koregaon Park. He added that the new links would reduce pressure on existing roads and offer a longer term solution that should be prioritised.

The PMC city engineer, Annirudha Pawaskar, said the new road from the Keshavnagar bridge to Mundhwa would help resolve congestion at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Mundhwa, Shivaji Chowk in Keshavnagar and in the Magarpatta area. The corporation plans to appoint expert consultants to handle pre and post tender activities and to prepare a detailed project report to expedite execution. The consultants will be responsible for technical planning and oversight through the tendering stages.

Pawaskar added that the consultant will also prepare a plan for a 24-metre-wide road stretching from Kharadi to the Hadapsar railway station bridge, continuing via the Hadapsar nalla to Keshavnagar Road. The Kharadi stretch will be seven point five kilometre long and will include a 245-metre bridge over the Mula-Mutha river. An additional three point five-kilometre road is proposed near the Hadapsar railway station to improve connectivity. Officials expect the combined works to create new through routes and relieve bottlenecks in the eastern corridor of the city.
