WaterJAMCO Interiors plans to invest $150 million in India over the next three to four years as it expands its engineering and manufacturing capabilities in the country.
As part of its growth strategy, the company is set to open a new engineering facility in Bengaluru’s Bannerghatta area, strengthening its India operations. JAMCO has also recently expanded its workforce, having hired 20–30 employees over the past two to three months.
The company said it plans to add a few hundred more employees in the coming months as part of its ongoing scale-up in India.
Speaking in an exclusive interaction, Kate Schaefer, CEO and Executive Chair of the Board, said India’s aerospace engineering talent remains underutilised and is often perceived primarily as a low-cost engineering destination, rather than a high-value innovation hub.
