As part of one or more of the lotting requirements, suppliers may be required to provide earlier design stages, in addition to detailed designs which are envisaged to form part of the lotting requirements. Further information will be provided at the PME day or at later stages of the process.

Supplier engagement is to be carried out via a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) day, potentially supplemented through the use of questionnaires.

The PME day is envisaged to be held in a UK central area (to be notified) on 29 September 2026, with the details being provided by separate communication to those registering an interest. Deadline for registration to attend the PME day is 30th August 2026.

Registration for the PME day is via the SAP Ariba portal. Interested suppliers are asked to use the Microsoft Forms link in the documents section in the SAP Ariba portal.

The SAP Ariba portal will be utilised to publish any communications after the PME day for the remainder of the engagement period. The engagement deadline is 30 November 2026

Contracts to be awarded under the framework could run for up to 12 years - the current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 April 2028 to 31 March 2036 with further possible extension options up to 31 March 2040.

Severn Trent is highlighting that no party will be prejudiced in the later stages of the procurement by their response and response to the Notice is not a pre-requisite of the tender.

Current estimated date for publication of a formal tender notice is 1 February 2027.
