IN demanding quarrying environments, crushers must withstand heavy loads, abrasive material and harsh outdoor conditions, while always maintaining continuous production. These pressures led Roadstone Ltd – a leading Irish aggregates producer – to partner with motion control specialists Technidrive to modernize their primary jaw crusher system. To achieve this, the companies combined WEG’s drive and motor technology with Technidrive’s innovative control software, resulting in a safer, more reliable solution that eliminates hazardous manual unblocking and dramatically reduces downtime. Quarries are among the most demanding of industrial environments. Machines must process heavy, abrasive material around the clock in dusty, vibration-heavy conditions that place severe strain on equipment. Any unplanned stoppage can grind production to a halt. This was the dilemma faced at Roadstone’s Allen Quarry in Kilmeague, Co. Kildare, with repeated failures in its primary jaw crusher. When the machin

HYUNDAI Construction Equipment are to launch a host of new and updated machinery in 2026, further broadening their product line-up and increasing their penetration into new market sectors. The company will also expand its after-sales and service offer, launching a new spare parts line and boosting customer service solutions. For the second year in a row, Hyundai will unveil multiple equipment innovations in the coming year, led by the Next Generation line of crawler excavators initially launched at the bauma exhibition in April 2025 with the unveiling of the HX360L and HX400L models. The crawler machines are also the first from Hyundai to feature full electro-hydraulic (FEH) controls. SUSTAINABLE materials supplier GRS has celebrated delivering a landmark 20 million tonnes (Mt) of primary and secondary aggregates to HS2 while exceeding performance, compliance and sustainability standards. Representing more than 80% of the bulk fill aggregates used along the 230km route, the 20Mt achievement was delivered through GRS subsidiary Rail Stone Solutions, establishing the firm as a leading supply chain partner for major infrastructure projects GRS is supplying all HS2’s main works contractors (Align, BBV, EKFB and SCS) and the company’s multi-modal delivery strategy has already seen over 70% of the aggregates delivered by train in partnership with GB Railfreight. This ‘rail first’ approach has helped to avoid around 700,000 vehicle journeys to date, reducing road congestion and saving an estimated 300,000 tonnes of CO₂. Rail freight typically emits around 76% less CO₂ per tonne compared with the equivalent road transport. As an intermediary trader, GRS is uniquely placed t

SBM Mineral Processing is celebrating an important premiere at ConExpo. For the first time, the Austrian manufacturer will present its mobile crushing plants and mobile concrete mixing technology together at the leading North American trade show. The 600-tonne-per-hour ReMax 600 large impact crusher and the 230-cubic-yard per hour EuroMix 4000 batch mixing plant on display are the top models in their respective series. For the manufacturer, the trade show appearance is another important step in developing its sales and service network in North America. All nine models of SBM’s JawMax crushers and ReMax impact crushers are hybrid electrified, consume up to 40 per cent less diesel than comparable fully hydraulic or partially electrified plants and can be operated fully electrically with unrestricted functionality thanks to a plug-in option. SBM’s flagship ReMax 600 will make its debut in North America at the Las Vegas show. This large impact crusher can handle feed sizes of up to 1 metre

The January used equipment data from Sandhills Global delivers a familiar mixed bag of information. I’ve tried to make sense of it all for our fleet readers. Below I’ve broken down trends for the top five categories of used equipment, mostly with a construction-focused bent. Inventory continues to shrink across most construction and truck categories. Prices remain under pressure. Still, several markets posted month-over-month value gains. For fleet managers and operators, Sandhills Global’s data on used equipment for January holds some interesting insights. But before we dig in... If you don’t know, Sandhills Global is an information processing company headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska. It gathers, processes, and distributes information through print publications, websites, and auction platforms. It basically connects buyers and sellers of construction, agriculture, trucking, and other types of equipment. They own stuff like TractorHouse and Machinery Trader . As a result, Sandhills G
