RWE and Meta have signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 298 MWac Rabbit’s Foot Solar project in Bowie County, Texas. The project is currently under construction and is expected to commence commercial operations by the end of 2027. Once operational, the facility will supply clean electricity to support Meta’s commitment to matching its operations with 100 percent renewable energy.

The agreement further expands the renewable energy partnership between the two companies, which already includes the 274 MW Emily Solar project in Illinois, the 100 MW Lafitte Solar project in Louisiana, and the 200 MW Waterloo solar facility in Texas. With the addition of this project, RWE and Meta have signed PPAs covering a combined 872 MW of renewable energy capacity over the past two years.

In April 2026, RWE signed a 15-year PPA with Breedon Group in Great Britain. Under the agreement, RWE will provide around 70 GWh of renewable power annually to Breedon’s operations. The power will initially be supplied from the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm located in the Irish Sea. From 2033 onwards, the power will be supplied from the Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm located in Wales.
