Established in 2019 to manage Scotland’s national forests and land, Forestry and Land Scotland is an executive agency of the Scottish Government.
It manages a network of roads and associated infrastructure, such as bridges, harvesting facilities, and extractive sites (quarries), to support access to and management of Scotland’s national forests and land.
The road network is essential in supporting sustainable harvesting and the haulage of timber.
“The scope of this procurement is to provide access to a civil engineering framework for the client,” said the tender notice, which was published on 16 April.
The framework will be made up of 55 multi-supplier lots. across five lot types, which are:
