The government has acquired around 1,000 acres for the project, including 87.66 hectares of forest land, and has divided the scheme into two phases. Phase one covers the 19.20 km stretch from Raviryal ORR Exit-13 through Mirkhanpet to Akuthotapally and is being executed by Rithwik Constructions at an estimated cost of Rs 16.65 bn. Phase two spans 22.30 km from Mirkhanpet to Amangal and is being taken up by Larsen & Toubro at an estimated cost of Rs 23.65 bn. In areas where acquisition is undisputed, road widening and structural works are progressing.

The administration has expedited compensation payments to farmers whose agricultural land was acquired and has deposited sums in court to facilitate acquisition where owners remain unwilling to surrender land. Several landowners accepted offers above prevailing market value, enabling works to proceed without major hurdles in many stretches. Recently the Shadnagar revenue divisional officer deposited Rs 100 million (mn) directly into bank accounts of farmers who lost around 40 acres in Chukkammet and Thummalapally as directed by the district collector.

The state government has decided to name the 41.5 km radial road after the Padma Bhushan awardee late Ratan Tata and to designate the Raviryal interchange as the Tata Interchange. Officials have also expedited land acquisition for a separate 55 km radial road linking ORR Exit-17 at Shamshabad with Parigi and the proposed RRR, with the alignment passing through multiple villages and a formal notification issued and consultations under way. Where owners resist, compensation is being deposited in court and acquisition proceedings advanced so construction can continue.
