The Victorian Government has announced a record $1.04 billion investment to rebuild, repair and resurface roads across the state.

The investment will specifically rebuild and repair arterial roads, maintain bridges and traffic lights, deliver emergency roadworks, repair or replace signs, and mow, slash and spray grass and weeds along roadsides.

Seventy per cent of these funds will be allocated to roads in regional Victoria.

“This is the biggest roads blitz in the state’s history,” said Jacinta Allan, Premier of Victoria.
