Environmental impact assessment process officially launched for Habaş’s Yeşilköy steel mill project

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Application File prepared for the “Habaş Yeşilköy Steel Mill Project,” planned by Habaş Sınai ve Tıbbi Gazlar İstihsal Endüstrisi A.Ş., has been reviewed by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and officially accepted into the evaluation process. With this development, the EIA phase of the project has formally commenced.

. The planned steel mill facility is set to be established in the Dörtyol district of Hatay.

The project aims to produce 1.75 million tons of billets annually, with no by-products to be generated during the production process. All billets produced at the facility will be used as raw material at the company’s Yeşilköy Hot Rolling Mill.
