Power PlantThe Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a government of India enterprise, has invited bids for the selection of a solar developer to set up a 6 MWac grid-connected floating solar project at Ambalamedu Lake in its Cochin division, Kerala. The project will be developed under the build, own, operate and transfer model.
According to the tender guidelines, the selected developer will install and operate the floating solar project and supply power to FACT for a period of 25 years. The project will be handed over to FACT in working condition at the end of the 25-year period from the commercial operation date. The bidding process will be conducted in two stages. The bidders must submit a separate techno-commercial bid and price bid.
Furthermore, the bidders must clearly specify the time required to mobilise and commence the work from the date of receiving the letter of intent or work order. They are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1,00,000. The deadline for bid submission is July 11, 2026.
